We can accommodate up to 30 children daily and are guided by the playwork principles and values. We accept children from all over Larne and the surrounding area. We collect from Linn primary school and St Anthony’s primary school at 2 pm and 3 pm. We also collect from the Corran primary school at 2 pm.
Our Skools Out club is run by our deputy manager Maria Magill, assisted by playworkers Darian, Linda, Stacey and Kevin who are long-term staff and have many years of experience providing consistent childcare in our afterschool’s. All staff are overseen by Childcare Manager, Carly McRae who is responsible for our management committee.
All staff undertake regular training to ensure knowledge and skills are current and we are inspected annually by Northern Health & Social Care Trust.
Pay as you go Childcare
Maybe you don’t need childcare on a regular basis and would prefer a “pay as you go” service. Flexible additional or one off childcare sessions are available subject to capacity. You will need to pre-register and have a quick chat with staff, but after that you can check availability, book and pay for your childcare session by bank transfer.

Our Aims
Breakfast club
Our breakfast club runs between 7.30 am and 9.00 am Monday – Friday, children are provided with a healthy breakfast and can be dropped off at Linn Primary and St Anthony’s Primary Schools before 9am.
Healthy snack
The children get to choose what goes on the snack menu each week and help prepare and serve snack.
Homework supervision
We are not a homework club, but we do facilitate time for children who wish to do their homework Monday– Thursday with staff supervision.
School pick ups
From St Anthony’s and Linn Primary School. The Corran Primary School picks up at 2 pm, the bus stops right outside our building. We do however, welcome children from all local schools.
Children’s committee
This is made up of our P.6 & P.7 children who meet weekly to discuss issues and they consult with the younger children to create a monthly ideas planner of things we can do throughout the month. They also help with the planning of events, our summer scheme plans, choose resources for the club and help review and create policies such as our behaviour policy, anti-bullying policy etc.
Strong and healthy minds
This is done at the end of each day and is aimed at helping children’s emotional well-being. We make use of journals, games, yoga, mindfulness, meditation, stories, videos etc, to help children learn coping skills, self-regulation and build resilience.
Summer scheme
For our afterschool’s children which includes free trips and fun activities.
