Did you know that here at Larne Community Care Centre we manage several units of temporary short term housing accommodation called Larne Crisis Accommodation on behalf of NIHE. These units provide crisis accommodation to families and vulnerable people who are homeless and in crisis and we also have a dedicated support worker who provides a support service to anyone in our accommodation. We are funded by Supporting People from the Housing Executive and only accept referals through NIHE.
Our Aim:
Our Aim is to provide families with quality temporary accommodation with support to live independently, maintain their tenancy and successfully move on into their new tenancy with a short follow-on resettlement service.
Our Objective:
Our service is tailored to the needs of its service users to ensure that they are provided with an individual, needs led support plan. This will identify and address the factors which may impact on their future tenancies and ensure that they move-on and maintain their new tenancy with the skills and support they require.
We have a dedicated support officer who will support our service users by:
- Providing accommodation in a safe, clean and homely environment.
- Providing quality support planning that enables service users to develop and maximise their full potential.
- Providing quality support that enables service users to ‘move on’ to appropriate accommodation with the necessary follow up support.
- Providing staff with adequate resources and a high standard of accredited training to maintain a high quality of service.
- Providing a positive image within the local community and an understanding of the services provided by our Project.
We are located in Antiville and provide 4 dedicated independent units which are fully furnished. We provide everything required to ensure that our service users needs are meet from the first time they enter our service.
Our units can provide support for up to 4 people, with two bedrooms consisting of one double and one with 3-person capacity.
All our units provide equipment such as cookers, fridge freezers, cutlery, crockery, microwaves, toaster and kettles. We provide beds and full bedding along with all linens. This ensures that all the needs of service user are tailored for no matter what their circumstances are.
